Upcoming Mother's Day Special

Wow! I cannot believe Mother's Day is just around the corner.  I will be emailing everyone on my email list and publishing the Special hopefully by this weekend.  I am thinking of having another special on cake balls and cake pops.  What do you think? Any suggestions?

April 30th cancelled

Lala Castro from Sparkles Forever recently invited me to be part of an event for the Free Arts for Abused Children on April 30th in LA. I was really looking forward to attending this event for a great cause.  It was being held at a great venue with lots of designers, etc.  Sadly, I found out today the event is cancelled :{.  They will try again next year.

Hello Kitty Rockstar Birthday Cake

I just finished this cake. Turned out really cute! Hello Kitty and decorations were made of fondant.  The design was inspired by the party invitation.  Below is a sample of the picture on invitation from www.etsy.com.  Check them out! They have lots of cool stuff.

This Norte Dame cake was ordered for a St. Patrick's Day birthday boy. 

I made this cake for my cousins baby shower.

This cake was ordered for a little girls baptism.  I incorporated the symbols of baptism seashell, cross, and dove.  The rosary was a special request.  The cupcakes below were for the same order.

Toy Story Toy Chest Cake

I made this cake for my friends son's 2nd birthday.  I had a blast making this cake! When I was designing the cake I knew I wanted to make the cake board look like wood flooring.  I was going back and forth on how I wanted to do the toy chest.  Should I do just a wooden toy chest or one just like Andy's.  I challenged myself and went for Andy's toy chest.  I used a lot of airbrushing and paint brush techniques on the toy chest, Woody, Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Rex and the Alien. 

Monster High Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my nieces birthday.  This cake was designed based on her favorite doll draculaura from Monster High.
